    • Let go of control / Let them control their own learning!
    • Anything that lets them find their interests and allow them to teach me
      • Must find a reason to  teach it to me and explain how it relates to their lives
    • Freedom to dream!
      • Open folders for the class / syllabus / due dates / expectations of "No Excuses"
        • Be the above average one all the time!
        • Do more than expected!
        • Go for the heart!
    • Soft Skills from the time they can walk!
      • Eye contact
      • Proper Speech
      • Body language
      • Proper Handshake
      • Using people's names
      • Error on the side of respect
      • Make people feel...  not just think

  • Merit (new App out for students to start showcasing their achievements in a protected environment)
    • Merit is a private app that allows parents to follow their child's academic progress and achievements. Think LinkedIn...but for kids education and achievements. 
    • Using Merit, you can store academic history of your child including highlights from school, comments from teachers, report cards, certificates, awards, and special moments. 
    • You can also capture your kids non-academic achievements in sports, music, dance, arts and other activities. 
    • Your account is private and personal for you to enjoy within your circle of family members and close friends.
    • Picture every year with a list of ten things they learned that year that meant something to them
